What’s more metal than a band using its metal powers to save rainforests? Not much, if you ask me. Well, I guess that’s okay Wild lands is here to be that “metal superhero” with their new song “Black rock heart.” With help of Heilung‘s master of ceremonies, Kai Uwe Faustand visionary artist Chloe Trujillo, the band is here to show the world the unfortunate side effects of deforestation.

The song screams metal with dueling eerie and “in-your-face” vocals, a steady amount of riffage and some pristine and clear drumming. When you talk about the song, guitarist Sylvain Demercastel states, “We wanted this issue to reflect our growing frustration with how the real estate heat wave is destroying Costa Rica’s ecosystem.”

The entire song is a non-stop expression of metal and the band’s aim to be admirable is just the icing on this metal sundae. Just listening to “Black Rock Heart” helps support Savage Lands. 100% of the song’s royalties fund the musician-run nonprofit in Costa Rica. Donations can also be made here.
