Why bet on Estudiantes?

Estudiantes were a good team from the start of the season, but there were doubts whether they could make a leap in quality to become Copa de la Liga champions.

However, in the semi-finals they drew 1–1 with Boca Juniors and triumphed in the penalty shootout 3–1, taking advantage of the Xeneizes’ poor definition. The Pincha’s goal during regular time was scored by Colombian striker Edwuin Cetré, also with a penalty. The skilled Colombian came in in the second half and scored his third goal with this shirt, two in the local tournament and another in the Copa Libertadores.

Estudiantes, who won the competition two years ago, finished the group stage second in zone B with 27 points from eight wins, three draws and three defeats. They are a very solid team in defense and this could be the flagship for coach Eduardo Domínguez, who is having one of his best spells on the bench.

In addition, there are experienced players such as Luciano Lollo, Enzo Pérez, Santiago Ascacibar, José Sosa, Pablo Piatti and Guido Carrillo, who are the club’s top scorer with five goals. However, Lollo cannot play due to an injury.

Why bet on Vélez?

Vélez is a club full of young blood, but has shown great courage to qualify for the play-offs and reach the final, leaving out important teams. In the semi-finals, the club from Liniers drew 0-0 against Argentinos Juniors and won 4-2 in the penalty shootout.

The team coached by “Cacique” Medina finished fourth in their group, with 25 points, which has a lot of merit as this team experienced an off-field problem that eliminated several parts of the squad.

In the quarter-finals they defeated a strong team like Godoy Cruz 2-1 and then the semi-finals with Argentinos Juniors. The team’s best scorer so far is striker Brian Romero, with six goals. However, he will be the big casualty of this team after being sent off in the previous match.

One of the big surprises of this team is the forward-turned-midfielder, Agustín Bouzat, as well as midfielder Claudio Aquino, who has five assists.

Final Betting Analysis: Estudiantes versus Vélez
