Real Madrid are eyeing a move for this talented wide player

In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Real Madrid are showing interest in Liverpool FC Montevideo player Luciano Rodriguez. Los Blancos are said to be eyeing a bid to recruit the Uruguayan youngster in the summer.

Rodriguez’s impressive rise in South American football

Rodriguez is having a brilliant campaign with the Uruguayan club after putting in some eye-catching performances for them at the attacking end of the pitch. The 20-year-old has found the back of the net 14 times on all fronts and registered six assists in 49 senior appearances for Liverpool Montevideo so far.

The Montevideo-born player has managed to shine at times with his performances in South American football. He is currently one of the most promising young players in his country and could prove to be a good signing for Los Blancos in the long term.

His current contract expires at the end of 2027, which could make it difficult for Real Madrid to secure a cheap deal for him later this year.

Real Madrid shows interest in Rodriguez: is he a prospect for the future?

Rodriguez is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs with the ball in wide areas. He has an eye to create some inviting opportunities for others around him in and around the opponent’s penalty area.

The Uruguayan talent can even shoot the ball with power from a great distance. He mainly functions as a right winger, but can also play as a centre-forward if his manager requests it.

We can expect Rodriguez to add more firepower to Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti’s attack in the long term. He has everything it takes to become a future starter at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

At the age of 20, Rodriguez is undeniably a talent to keep an eye on in the coming years. Therefore, Los Blancos would be wise to do everything they can to bring him on board when the transfer window opens at the end of this season. However, only time will tell whether the gifted winger can make a smooth transition to life in the Spanish capital.
