Steidten wants ‘Brazilian Mbappe’ for Hammers

West Ham United are facing strong competition for Corinthians winger Wesley this summer, with Atletico Madrid also in the race to secure the Brazilian’s services.

Despite the managerial uncertainty at West Ham, director of football Tim Steidten is reportedly keen to facilitate the transfer, aware of Atletico’s interest.

Dubbed the ‘Brazilian Mbappe’, Wesley has quickly made a name for himself at Corinthians and established himself as a key first-team player. So far he has played in 58 matches for Corinthians, scoring six goals and providing three assists in various competitions.

His current contract with Corinthians runs until the end of 2027, which could complicate West Ham’s chances of signing him for a bargain in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Wesley has shown potential that suggests he could become a world-class winger. His signing would be an important asset for West Ham in the long term, and he already has the talent to challenge for a regular starting place at the London Stadium in the coming seasons.
