Queen’s shooting at Richmond Hill baby shower leaves one dead, says NYPD – NBC New York

One person died and three others were injured when gunfire erupted during a baby shower in a Queens neighborhood early this weekend.

Police said 911 calls came in around 1:30 a.m. Saturday for an attack in progress along Atlantic Avenue in Richmond Hill. Officers found several gunshot victims at a small location where a baby shower was being held.

A 24-year-old man had been shot in the chest; he was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where he was eventually pronounced dead. Two other men, aged 45 and 25, were also taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for a single shot each.

A short time later, police say a 43-year-old man arrived at Jamaica Hospital with two gunshot wounds to one arm and a third to his leg.

Hours later, investigators were still looking for the shooter responsible. Police have not provided any information about what led to the shooting.
